For those of you out there wondering if there is such as Pakistani Electro, this post is for you. And if you weren’t wondering, then here is something I’m calling Pakistani Electro. Talal Qureshi first grabbed my attention with his brilliant and vibrant ‘Sketches’, but now he’s put together a 4-track EP, which has really grown on me as I’ve listened to it. Perhaps released to coincide with the Pakistani cricket team’s absolute domination of world no.1 England (I might only be half Pakistani but I still love seeing England lose), this is some unique electronic music. Though at times I find his music slightly raw, Talal Qureshi is pioneering his own electro sound utilizing homegrown influences and an upbeat rave feel. Quality. ‘Sketches’ is still the best but ‘Andromeda’ gives it a serious run for its money.

Update: Talal Qureshi has just let me know that this is just a preliminary EP, with 3 more tracks in the works to complete the set. More golden electronic goodness to come!
